The problem is that Squarespace’s built-in calendar is basic — it doesn’t look great, and it’s not designed for public-facing event promotion.
UpTo gives you a live, beautiful event calendar that embeds directly into any Squarespace page. No plugins. No developer. Just copy one snippet and paste it in.
Before You Start
You’ll need an UpTo account and your embed snippet. When you create an embeddable calendar in UpTo, you’ll find your snippet in your dashboard.
Option 1: Embed Using a Code Block (Recommended)
This is the simplest method and works on every Squarespace plan that supports custom code.
- Open the Squarespace page where you want your calendar to appear.
- Click Edit to enter the page editor.
- Click the + icon to add a new block.
- Select Code from the block menu.
- Paste your UpTo embed snippet into the code block.
- Click Apply.
- Hit Save to publish your changes.
Works on: Squarespace 7.0 and 7.1. Requires a Business plan or higher.
Option 2: Embed in Fluid Engine (Squarespace 7.1)
- Open your page and click Edit.
- Hover over the section and click the + icon.
- Choose Embed from the block options.
- In the embed dialog, select Code Snippet.
- Paste your UpTo embed code and click Set.
- Resize and position the block, then click Save.
Tip: If the calendar appears clipped, set the section height to Auto rather than a fixed pixel height.
Option 3: Code Injection (Advanced)
For a calendar that appears across multiple pages or in the footer, use Settings > Advanced > Code Injection. Paste your snippet in the Footer field and save.
